About Christian
Christian is wholeheartedly driven to help her patients thrive and find joy for life by the restoration of pain-free movement. Through close-hand experiences with loved ones, she has seen the impact that pain and sudden loss of function can have on the mind and spirit, as well as the body. Drawing from her various experiences in public health, health education, and integrative healthcare, she seeks to partner with her patients to optimize their movement and well-being.
Christian was born and raised in Houston, TX and grew up performing ballet, contemporary, jazz, modern, and hip hop dance forms. After college, she took a road-trip through Oregon and Northern California and found the comfort and awe of nature, which she continues to appreciate since moving to Austin. She enjoys aerial silks and hammock, and looks forward to weekends with her husband and daughter at the pool or at dinner with family and friends.
Education And Training
Christian received her B.A. in Kinesiology with a focus on Public Health from Rice University in 2009. She began her initial career training in pediatric nutrition and weight loss research as an interventionist and as a patient coordinator for a women’s health acupuncturist. In 2012, she became a licensed massage therapist after graduating from the Texas School of Massage. She transitioned to coaching and teaching middle and high school Physical Education for a couple of years to provide more children with self-management tools for nutrition, weight, and wellness. However, realizing a growing desire to be a healthcare provider, she went back to school to explore more options. By 2015, she earned a Master of Science degree focused on Complementary and Alternative Medicine, where she learned scientific knowledge behind mind-body integrative therapies in healthcare and recognized massage therapy as a great field from which to build on her new understandings and interests. After several years as a deep tissue and myofascial massage therapist, she found a way to combine everything she was passionate about through physical therapy. She graduated from Texas State University as a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2024.
